In comparison to the first GP5000 Tubeless Ready version, the GP5000S TR is 20% faster rolling, 28% stronger in the sidewall and 50g lighter (25-622).
With the previous model already significantly improved in comparison to the old GP4000 S II model (17% in rolling resistance, 25% in puncture resistance), the GP5000S TR raises the bar in the allround road tyre market to previously unseen levels!

- Tubeless: our patented carcass construction is robust and impervious against damage from foreign objects. The result : versatility, lower weight and a super-attractive design. With this design,¬†tyres can be used both tubeless or with an innertube.¬†
- BlackChili compound: Nano technology used to produce the carbon black particles that are used to reinforce the rubber compound. We refine special synthetic rubbers with natural rubber to create high performance tread mixtures.¬†
- Lazer Grip, to make you one with the road. The lazered micro profile structure expands over the tire‚Äôs shoulder and provides outstanding cornering.
- Vectran‚Ñ¢: The benchmark in puncture protection Vectran‚Ñ¢ is a synthetically manufactured high-tech fibre from a natural model. Like spider silk, Vectran‚Ñ¢ is a liquid-crystalline polymer (LCP). Vectran‚Ñ¢ is spun from the melted liquid polymer Vectra and processed further to a multi-strand thread. Spider silk like Vectran‚Ñ¢ has an enormous tear resistance at a very low weight: Exactly the right properties to process into a premium Continental bicycle tire as a puncture protection insert. A Vectran‚Ñ¢ Breaker is lighter, more flexible and protects more effectively against cuts than the comparable nylon breaker. Vectran‚Ñ¢ Breaker does not adversely affect the rolling resistance.
